1984年，张近东毕业于南京师范大学中文系，后供职于南京鼓楼区工业公司。1990年12月26日，张近东以10万元自有资金，在南京宁海路租下一个200平方米的门面房，取名为苏宁交家电，专营空调。苏宁电器在以后的十八年时间里改写了中国家电零售市场的格局，掀起了中国零售市场的一轮又一轮惊涛骇浪。
In 1984, Zhang Jindong graduated from the Chinese department of Nanjing Normal University, and thereafter began to work in the Industry Company of Gulou district of Nanjing. On Dec.26th, 1990, Zhang Jindong rented a shop of 200 ㎡on Ninghai Road with his own 100 thousand RMB named “Suning Electrical Appliance” which was in the line of air-conditioners. In the following 18 years, Suning has successfully reformed the pattern of domestic appliance retail market, stimulating continual booms thereof.
在创业发展早期，张近东就意识到以服务为企业核心竞争力，坚持“服务是苏宁的唯一产品”，首创自营服务，并依靠“淡季打款”等创新模式迅速成为中国空调销售冠军。1999年张近东率苏宁全面切入综合电器领域，提出“3年1500店”的发展目标，带领苏宁走向全国，率先开创了家电连锁发展模式，引起了深远的行业性变革，直接推动了中国现代零售业的发展进程。
At the beginning of its development, Zhang Jindong realized the core competitive advantage of a new venture should be “service”, thus Suning insisted that “service is the sole product of Suning”, innovating self-marketing service and soon became the sales champion among the domestic air-conditioner market on the basis of innovative models, e.g. paying for the order of goods ahead of peak season. In 1999, Zhang Jindong led Suning to enter the comprehensive appliance industry aiming at overwhelming the whole national market with the objective saying “opening 1500 chain stores in 3 years”. As a matter of fact, Suning was the first innovating such developing model of appliance chain, which has aroused a profound revolution and therefore accelerated the development of the modern retail industry in China directly.
在全国连锁过程中，本着“信息化、标准化、专业化”的发展策略，张近东又先后开创了“1200工程”、“3C模式”、“5315工程”、“3C+模式”、“旗舰店战略”、“后台战略”等系列经营管理创新模式，领导开发了全球领先的SAP/ERP系统，打造了自主培养为主的专业化人才梯队，构筑了国际化的管理平台。2004年苏宁电器在深交所中小企业板上市，成为中国家电连锁IPO第一股，这些都为苏宁电器的长远发展奠定了坚实基础。
In the progress of deploying chain stores all over the country, and in accordance with the developing strategy of “informationalization, standardization and specialization”, Zhang Jindong has innovated a series of operating and managing models, including “1200 graduates project”, “3C model”, “5315 project”, “3C+ model”, “strategy of flagship stores”, “background strategy”, etc. Besides, he was one of the participants who led to develop the worldwide advanced SAP/ERP system, created the professional talents team mainly relying on self-cultivation, and finally set up the internationalized managing platform. In 2004, Suning Appliance was listed in the group of medium and small-scaled enterprises on Shenzhen stock exchange market, which became the first in its kind of appliance chain IPO in China. All of these achievements have laid a firm foundation for the long-term development of Suning Appliance in the future.
18年后的今天，苏宁电器已经成为中国3C（家电、电脑、通讯）家电连锁零售企业的领先者。截至2009年，苏宁电器在中国30个省、直辖市和自治区，300多个城市拥有1000家连锁店，员工人数12万名，2007年销售规模近900亿元，在商务部统计的全国前100家连锁企业中，位居前三甲，也是国家商务部重点培育的“全国15家大型商业企业集团”之一，企业品牌价值高达455.38亿元，成为中国商业领域第一品牌。
18 years have past, and today, Suning Appliance has already been the leader of 3C appliance chain retailers in China. Up to 2009, Suning has 1000 chain stores in about 300 cities of 30 provinces including municipalities and autonomous regions with 120 thousand employees. In 2007, the sales revenue amounted to 90 billion RMB, ranking among the top 3 of the top 100 chain companies evaluated by the ministry of commerce and business, simultaneously one of the Key 15 Large-scaled Commercial Groups in China” supported by the National Ministry of Commerce with its brand value amounting to 45.538 billion RMB, which has been the top brand in our national commercial industry.
穷则独善其身，富则兼济天下，这是中国古人对财富的理解。苏宁电器从个人创业发展到国内民营企业三甲之一，从个人企业到公众公司已经走过了19年的路。这19年既是苏宁不断发展的过程，也是张近东不断与团队和社会分享苏宁财富的过程。2004年苏宁电器在中小板上市，并且随着全流通改革和定向增发，张近东的股权已经稀释到公司的三分之一左右。在2006年中国资本市场的财富统计中，前50位个人财富榜单中，苏宁电器占据5席，除张近东本人外，还有4名中高层管理人员入选。尽管如此，张近东还在规划一个更加大手笔的造富计划，进一步稀释手中的股权，实施员工股权激励。根据相关规定，股权激励计划最高涉及的标的股票可达公司股本总额的10%，业内人士分析，此计划如果得以实施，在未来5年内，苏宁将打造出1000个千万富翁。
Ancient Chinese considered that “people should take care of themselves at the difficult time, while caring about others once getting rich”. Coming all the way from a small new venture to one of the top 3 private companies inside, Suning has experienced a progress of continuous development as well as Zhang Jindong’s sharing the company wealth with both his team and the society. Since it was listed on stock market in 2004, and reformed to be public with directional transfer of shares, only about 1/3 of the total shares were left to Zhang Jindong. In the list of top 50 wealthy persons according to the wealth statistic of national capital market in 2006, besides Zhang Jindong, 4 other senior superiors from Suning were also listed. Nevertheless, Zhang Jindong has been planning an even greater program to bring more wealth to more people by encouraging employees with the company shares remained to him. In terms of relevant regulation, the involving distribution can reach a maximum of 10% of the company capital, which, according to the professional analysis, means that provided this plan being carried out, Suning will create about 1000 billionaires in the following 5 years.
作为中国家电连锁行业唯一的民族企业，国务院总理温家宝曾勉励苏宁电器“成为中国的沃尔玛”，在这一使命下，张近东坚持企业本土化特性，不断壮大企业规模和国际化管理能力，多次在政协会议上提出关于“壮大中国现代零售业”的提案。他始终坚信“13亿人的中国市场一定能够培育出世界500强的现代零售企业”，并正在朝这一目标不断前进。
As the only one national enterprise in domestic appliance chain market, Suning was once encouraged by Premier Wen Jiabao to strive to be the Wal-mart in China. Taking this object as the company mission, Zhang Jindong insists the characteristic of localization, and continuous development of company scale as well as globalized managing capability. Moreover, he has put forward several times the proposal on “strengthening and enlarging the modern retail industry in China” when attending CPPCC. Not only believing in that “a domestic market involving 1.3 billion people will undoubtedly cultivate more top 500 modern retailers in the world”, but also does he advance in the direction of realizing such objective.
在带动企业发展的同时，张近东也非常注重承担企业社会责任，将企业定位于社会化的苏宁，将企业家本身定位为社会工作者。目前苏宁已经成为中国解决就业最多的民营企业，年纳税额位列中国民企第二，同时张近东还创立了中国首个大型企业社工制度——1+1阳光行社工志愿者行动，号召苏宁10万多名员工每人每年拿出一天的工资进行社会公益援助，拿出一天的时间参与社区公益活动。而企业自身十多年来也已累计捐赠公益事业数亿元，其中张近东在四川汶川大地震中个人捐赠5000万元，创国内个人捐赠之最。
In the course of developing the enterprise, Zhang Jindong also pays much attention to the social responsibility, and makes it a socialized Suning while himself a social worker. Currently Suning has become the one providing the largest working opportunities in China, whose yearly taxation ranks No.2 among the private company in China. At the same time, Zhang Jindong initiated the first social work project by large-scaled enterprise-“1+1 Sunny Action of Social Work Volunteers”, which appeals to everyone of its 100 thousand employees for donating one day’s payment to public benefits and sparing one day’s time to participate community activities every year. Actually, in these ten plus years, Suning has already donated several thousand billion in accumulation supporting public benefits, 50 million RMB of which was donated by Zhang Jindong personally after Wen Chuan Earthquake, refreshing the personal donation in China.
由于企业经营出色、承担社会责任，张近东先生先后被授予“中国青年五四奖章”、“优秀中国特色社会主义事业建设者”、“全国劳动模范”、“2006CCTV中国经济年度人物”、 “2007年度中国25大企业领袖”等国家级荣誉，并担任全国政协委员、中华全国工商联副主席等职务，成为中国民营经济和商业领域的企业领袖。
Due to the excellent performance of Suning, and the warm intention of taking social responsibilities, Zhang Jindong has been entitled with many state-level honors, such as “May 4th Medal for Outstanding Chinese Youth”, “Outstanding Contributor of the Socialist Cause with Chinese Characteristics”, and “National Model Worker”, “CCTV 2006 China Economic Annual Figure” and “China Top 25 Leaders of Enterprises in 2007”, etc. What’s more, Mr.Zhang has been voted as the member of CPPCC, “Vice Chairman of the 10th China Federation of Industry and Commerce”, and become a leaderman in the field of the private economy as well as commerce in China. |
